About the OPPORTUNITY

We have a great opportunity for a Cyber Security Analysis Lead to join our Maritime Sustainment Business Unit based at Osborne Naval Shipyard - SA reporting to the Manager Cyber Security - Maritime.

We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight and hybrid working.

You will work with the rest of the Maritime Cyber Security team to deliver a Cyber Security Program which is focused on improving the Cyber Security resiliency of the Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) systems which the Maritime BU depends on.

You will collaborate with the other members of the Maritime IM&T and the Australian Cyber Security Group (CSG) to improve the Cyber Security Resiliency of Maritime systems.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with the Cyber Security Group and Maritime IM&T teams to ensure the required Cyber Security services are operational and optimised for the Maritime BU
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to a team of Cyber Security Analysts
  • Manage the relevant accreditations, ensure all accreditations are maintained to the level required for the delivery of Maritime BU projects
  • Conduct Cyber Security Maturity assessments using an agreed framework (e.g. Essential 8, C2M2)
  • Engage with the Cyber Security Group and other internal and external stakeholders
  • Support the Cyber Security Group enterprise strategy and the group OCIO cyber strategy
  • Maintain compliance assessments for Maritime systems as part of accreditation submissions
  • Contribute to the Cyber Incident Response capability for the Maritime IM&T, including IT and OT systems

About YOU

  • A degree in computer science, ICT/Engineering or a related discipline is desirable
  • Professional Cyber Security certifications such as Certified Information Security Manager, (CISM), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional (GICSP) desirable or equivalent experience
  • Extensive experience in Cyber Security Operations or GRC in an enterprise environment
  • Experience securing Operational Technology & IoT deployments
  • Knowledge in IT fundamentals such as application development, systems administration or networking
  • Experience conducting compliance and maturity assessments against standards
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated collaboration skills, analysis skills, critical thinking and problem solving
  • Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain
  • Eligibility to be cleared for International Traffic In Arms (ITAR) regulations
