As part of our Business Services group, the Cyber Security Analyst will work closely with Saab’s IT and Security groups to provide specialist security advice and expertise to help protect Saab’s assets from cyber threats.
Further, the successful candidate will:
- Design, monitor, investigate and respond to Cyber Security events and alerts from on premises and Azure cloud security systems
- Hunt and respond to suspicious or anomalous activities (e.g. phishing emails, malware, intrusions) using security systems such as Data Loss Prevention and Security Information Event Management (SIEM)
- Maintain working relationships with key partners, vendors and internal stakeholders
- Support the IT operational teams with managing existing and uplifting new Cyber Security technologies, including vulnerability management, anti-malware, and security logging and monitoring tools
- Support business with understanding cybersecurity risks and issues and recommend prioritisation
- Develop and maintain security accreditation documentation for Saab IT networks supported by IT teams and security management;
- Liaise with external security stakeholders and Defence agencies
About you
Your skills and experience will include:
- Working knowledge of technical infrastructure, Linux, Windows, networks, databases and systems and how they relate to IT Security and Risk;
- Understanding and application of information security frameworks, such as Information Security Manual, NIST 800-171, ISO 27001 in operational environments
- Experience in the collection, presentation and analysis of information;
- Proven and effective problem solving skills with the ability to develop creative and innovative alternative solutions;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain security concepts to lay audiences;
- Ability to effectively adapt to changing priorities, tasks and requirements;
- Evidence of formal or informal Cyber Security training or equivalent experience.
