Rabobank has an opening for a Cyber Security Associate. This role is based in Sydney where our Cyber Security Operations team is based. The Cyber Security Operations team is a highly engaged team working a hybrid mix of 1-2 days in the office and other days from home.
The Cyber Security Operations team is multi-disciplinary, and dedicated to defending the bank by ensuring confidentiality, integrity and availability of the systems and data. As a Cyber Threat & Vulnerability Associate, you will assist in identifying existing and emerging vulnerabilities and threats relevant to the bank, make risk-based assessments based on knowledge of our environment to prioritise our resources effectively through reporting and provide guidance to application, service and infrastructure owners on effective remediation.
Top Role Accountabilities:
- Develop and produce vulnerability reports and mitigation plans
- Create statistical reporting from data and perform analysis to highlight risks and impediments.
- Assist Cyber Security Analysts in reviewing vulnerability scan data and making risk-based assessments, based on our production environment, to determine remediation priority
- Assist engineers working on vulnerability remediation in building advisories and facilitating communication of those advisories to application, service and infrastructure teams
- Coordinate with application, service and infrastructure teams to ensure timely remediation of vulnerabilities across the region
- Liaise with global, regional and local stakeholders to ensure procedural efficiency and tooling operability for anything vulnerability management related
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Minimum of 2 years' IT experience
- Basic knowledge of common concepts, standards and frameworks in vulnerability management, such as CVSS
- Ability to manipulate and analyse data sets, such as in Excel or Power BI
- Good understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems
- General understanding of network concepts, such as DNS, proxies, subnetting
- Basic understanding of vulnerability management within enterprise hybrid and multi-cloud environments is ideal but not required
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tooling, such as Qualys VMDR highly regarded
