Working with global institutional investors, banks, insurance companies, governments and multinational corporations, Markets & Securities Services offers a range of fund administration, global custody, sub-custody and clearing services.

We have a newly created opportunity due to growth in the Asset Owners & Managers (AOM) client base, across Securities Services products.  Joining the Securities Services business as an Associate Director, Account Management you will support the consistent delivery of “Next Generation” Account Management to these strategically important AO&M clients.  In doing so your focus will be on implementing an effective Account Management strategy that recognises and adapts to changing client requirements utilising automation and digitisation to produce additional, long-term value.

This exciting opportunity will enable you to use your natural capability to maintain and build strong stakeholder relationships to provide support and maximise commercial outcomes through new and cross sale initiatives for strategic clients/prospects.  In this role you will be the core relationship touch point for the satisfaction and retention of the Asset Owners & Managers client base, across multiple geographic locations, spreading your reach and expanding your own career opportunities at the same time.

Responsibilities:

  • Client retention – working in tandem with product management, service delivery and client management to ensure high levels of client satisfaction and a reference-able client base.
  • Creating and maintaining detailed client plans that support wider growth strategies and ExCo planning.
  • Ensuring proactive management of issues across all products and jurisdictions by directing resources in each service component or jurisdiction.
  • Sponsoring service improvement opportunities and prioritising change management agendas across the business promoting automation and leveraging our digital tools.Establishing an agreed governance framework and meeting schedules to deliver strong senior client engagement and maintain full compliance with internal controls.

Requirements

Requirements:

  • Solid experience managing executive level client relationships, with exposure to Asset Owner & Manager clients preferred but not essential.
  • Experience of business implementation/change, business development with senior operational leadership experience an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including an ability to lead and manage meetings, communicating both verbally and in writing concisely and professionally with executive level client stakeholders.
  • A strong sense of resilience with proven ability to adapt to the changing demands of the industry, clients and internal stakeholders.
  • A commercial mindset with the aim of increasing revenue through sales, providing strategic solutions to clients across the breadth of HSBC offerings and building strong mutually beneficial relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to operate effectively across a complex matrix organisation.
  • Demonstrated track record as a team-player and mentor, positively contributing through ongoing continuous improvement.
  • Proficient understanding of Securities Services regulations, particularly client management, along with understanding of controls, risk management and mitigation techniques.

Preference will be given to candidates who hold Australian PR/Citizenship or New Zealand Citizenship, or who can demonstrate current unrestricted work rights in Australia without limitations.
