As the Cybersecurity Advisory Manager, you play a key role in directing our organisation's cybersecurity efforts under the guidance of the Associate Director of Cybersecurity Advisory. Your leadership ensures optimal cybersecurity outcomes through skilled consultant deployment, aligning secure patterns with the University environment, and driving innovative secure solutions by eliminating legacy technologies. Your proactive approach significantly enhances cybersecurity readiness and technological advancements for the institution.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Provide direction in cybersecurity efforts, collaborating on strategy with the Associate Director of Cybersecurity
- Lead ongoing cybersecurity activities, ensuring alignment with organisational goals
- Ensure cybersecurity advice fits the University's unique requirements
- Identify and address security risks, driving innovation for enhanced cybersecurity
You will have proven leadership in effectively managing cybersecurity consultants, strategic thinking to develop comprehensive cybersecurity strategies aligned with organisational goals, and familiarity with the academic environment's unique challenges. You should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to convey complex cybersecurity concepts and build strong collaborative relationships across the organisation.
You will also have:
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience thereafter, or demonstrated extensive expertise and leadership in the field of Cybersecurity
- Well demonstrated expertise in cybersecurity principles, practices, and technologies, with a track record of successfully leading and advising on cybersecurity initiatives in a complex organizational setting
- A demonstrated track record of driving innovation in cybersecurity, including the ability to identify and eliminate legacy technologies and champion the adoption of cutting-edge solutions to enhance security posture
