Details: WorkSafe ACT is a fully independent office headed by the Work Health and Safety Commissioner. WorkSafe ACT achieves its objectives through a combination of compliance and enforcement, awareness raising, education, inspection, and investigation. It is responsible for monitoring and enforcing compliance by duty holders in accordance with the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (WHS Act) and associated legislation for Dangerous Substances, Workers’ Compensation and Labour Hire Licensing.
Are you passionate about data analysis and its impact on workplace safety? We have an exciting temporary vacancy for a skilled Data Analyst to join our dynamic Strategy team.
In this role, you’ll conduct research, analyse complex data, and extract meaningful insights to establish reports on the effectiveness of WorkSafe ACT’s compliance and enforcement activities.
As a Data Analyst, you’ll apply best practice data analysis methodologies and frameworks. Your well-developed stakeholder analysis and engagement skills will be crucial as you work both independently and collaboratively to contribute to team goals.

Notes: This is a temporary position available for a period of six months, with the possibility of extension up to 12 months.A Merit Pool may be established from this selection process and may be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. Selection may be based on referee reports and written application only. This position is in a workplace designed for activity-based working (ABW). Under ABW arrangements, officers do not have a designated workstation/desk.
