Details: Client Services Branch of Housing ACT is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Data Analyst to join its Data Analytics and KPIs team. The Data Analyst reports to the Senior Data Analyst in Client Services Branch.
The following job tasks and outcomes outline what you will do and achieve in the role:
- Interpret data, analyse results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports.
- Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimise statistical efficiency and quality.
- Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems.
- Identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
- Filter and “clean” data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems.
- Work with management to prioritise business and information needs managing master data, including creation, updates, and deletion.
- Provide quality assurance of imported data.
- Supporting initiatives for data integrity and normalisation.
- Generating reports from single or multiple systems.

Notes: This is a temporary position available immediately for a period of ten months, with the possibility of extension up to 12 months and/or permanency. An order of merit will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill future identical vacancies over the next 12 months. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only. This position will be moving to a new workplace designed for activity-based working (ABW). Under ABW arrangements, officers will not have a designated workstation/desk.
