You will use your statistical expertise and relevant software to process, analyse and report on Queensland crime and justice statistics.

THE KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in managing crime and justice data and information from a range of sources and compiling statistics.
- Prepare data visualisations to assist users to comprehend statistical information.
- Actively ensure outputs satisfy Office standards for integrity, accuracy and timeliness based on quality principles and methodologies.
- Promote statistical standards and review data and information provided for the compilation of crime and justice statistics.
- Report on data quality and availability issues including negotiating changing requirements and recommending improvements.
- Extract and provide data for reporting purposes and ad hoc requests including providing advice on related data quality issues.
- Operate statistical processing systems.
- Coordinate and conduct data quality assurance checking and reporting findings and recommendations.
To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate:
- competency in Excel
- knowledge and applied experience in the collection, processing, analysis and presentation of statistical data.
- experience in coding in R and/or SQL, for data extraction and analysis
- experience in writing statistical commentary.
