As a part of your role, you will leverage existing business intelligence tools including Power BI, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) & other Power Platform tools to drive efficiency and deliver actionable insights. This involves the development of data models, creation of data visualisations and dashboards, performs a range of data analysis, and ensuring the deployment and configuration of solutions for consumption.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Work closely with business stakeholders to identify business requirements and develop best practice reporting solutions.
- Provide analysis and insights to managers and stakeholders to help drive performance and data lead decisions.
- Collaborate with other Data & Reporting Analysts to identify and acquire data.
- Advise stakeholders on data collection and visualisation best practices.
- Proficient at using Power Query and Dataflows to extract, transform and load data from a wide range of data sources and systems.
- Develop and maintain effective data models with defined relationships and calculations using Data Analysis Expressions (DAX).
- Transform data into interactive, actionable insights through meaningful data visualisation.
- Design and build dashboards with a consistent theme and style.
- Ensure the consistency of metrics between dashboards and other corporate systems.
- Monitor data quality and take appropriate action for the remediation of data quality issues detected.
- Understand data security including row-level security (RLS) and data sensitivity.
- Manage the distribution of BI assets to key stakeholders.
- Update dashboards and metrics in line with new business requirements, goals and improvements.
- Understand new system changes and implement updates in affected data sets and dashboards.
- Provide support and coaching to other employees to assist with drawing out insights and developing self-service analytics.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
- Relevant degree qualification/s (e.g. IT, Data and Analytics, Business) and/or proven role experience deemed equivalent.
- Certifications in Power BI, SAP Analytics Cloud and Advanced SQL is desirable.
- Strong oral and written communication skills including formal presentation skills for all levels.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse, and disseminate information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages and Business Intelligence tools, especially Power BI platform.
- Strong experience in BI analytics and Data Modelling.
- Adept at BI queries, report writing and presenting findings.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate and contribute to a cross-functional team positively.
- Demonstrable strong data analysis skills and multi-dimensional cube design and development.
- Ability to develop complex/standardised reports with a strong focus on data visualisation through the use of charts, maps, scorecards and interactive dashboards.
- Effective people skills including the ability to interact with all levels of management and SW business partners.
- Detail understanding of report generation from SAP.
- Advance knowledge in using Excel – pivot tables, lookup functionality, data ranging.
