Data And Analytics Manager - Asset Performance

The Role
Ventia are currently seeking expressions of interest for a Data & Analytics Manager to support and direct the day to day activities within the Engineering, Planning, Asset and Sustainability Management Team. The role will be key in the build of analytical reporting and trending of data from across the contract.
Reporting to the senior management team this role is pivotal in the development and implementation of longer term transformation and improvement programs along with supporting the daily delivery of asset management and sustainability excellence. This is a permanent fulltime role based in Adelaide.
The responsibilities of the position include but not limited to:
Manage and direct the Data Analytics activities within the Engineering, Planning, Asset and Sustainability Management Team
Provide digital solutions relating to asset data management, sustainability improvement and data quality.
Improving data transfer to/from service delivery partners, site inspection and project teams
Identify and support data management solutions to record and update asset and maintenance data captured in the field by service delivery partners
Support and upskill internal teams Asset Management, Engineering and Planning Teams in asset data management and reporting.
Develop and present insights and recommendations to relevant managers in line with performance requirements
Understand issues and opportunities in the context of the contract and recommend business solutions that may enable effective achievement of objectives
Technical Competencies:
Understand how data interacts across relational and semi-structured datasets including the ETL process
Ability to transform and engineer data to prepare for analysis
Analyse and create models using a range of techniques and sources depending on business need
Ability to work with geospatial assets and models to understand intersection between geographical bounds and business assets
Experience with Bayesian and Bayesian statistical methods and their implications within a business environment
Education & Qualifications
Tertiary qualification in Data and Analytics
Training/Qualification in Lean Six Sigma desirable
Training/Qualification in Project Management desirable
Skills & Experience:
Demonstrated experience in a similar role providing excellent analytical reporting and recommendations
Strong verbal and written communication skills and detailed report writing capability
Experience/Capability in the use of the following if preferred;
MS Azure, Amazon S3 or similar cloud store environment MySQL, PostgreSQL or similar local store environment
Python with experience in packages such as NumPy or Pandas
Alteryx o Tableau and/or PowerBI
