The Pacific Islands Forum Fisheries Agency (FFA) is an intergovernmental organisation working to strengthen national capacity and regional solidarity so Pacific nations can manage, control, and develop their tuna fisheries now and in the future.

We are now looking for a Data Quality Officerto join our team on a  full-time basis.

As a Data Quality Officer at FFA, reporting to the Manager of IT, your role is crucial in enhancing Data Quality across the Secretariat and member countries. You'll be responsible for developing and implementing Data Quality strategies, ensuring high data standards, and supporting information product systems.

Main Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Data Quality policies and tools.
• Conduct regular data analyses to improve quality.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of internal and external information systems.
• Support capacity building in Data Quality and system usage.

We are looking for a professional with a minimum of a degree in computer science, IT,  or a related field and at least 5 years of experience in database systems. Previous experience in SQL, reporting tools, and web-based software applications, are essential. 

As our ideal candidate, you will have the ability to run training programmes.

Desirable Qualities:

• A post-graduate degree in computer science, information technology and/or related discipline
• Experience in developing Data Quality improvement programs.
• Database management and administration experience.
• A Cert IV Training and Assessment is desirable.

In addition, your knowledge and experience using word processing and presentation tools coupled with your ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team and excellent communication skills in English will make you an invaluable member of our team.

For your work and effort as our Data Quality Officer, you will receive a competitive salary package of circa US$61,670.00 - US$84,717.00  (tax-free, for citizens of most countries), negotiable to earn more based on your skills and experience.

• Superannuation, paid at 7.5% into either a nominated fund or an additional cash supplement (paid out every 6 months or twice a year).
