About the Role The role of the Dealer - Treasury is to execute the daily Treasury dealing activities of Teachers Mutual Bank Limited (TMBL) in relation to funding, liquidity and cash flow management whilst at all times adhering to the Bank’s approved risk limits, policies and procedures. The Dealer - Treasury is also responsible for establishing, developing and maintaining the Bank's wholesale financial market counterparty relationships. Key activities will include: Executes TMBL’s daily dealing transactions/activities to implement strategies approved by ALCo and Senior Management as they relate to funding, liquidity, interest rate risk and cash flow management Adheres and complies with TMBL’s approved credit and interest rate risk, funding and liquidity limits, policies and procedures Manages TMBL’s daily cash positions settled through various bank accounts Invests TMBL’s liquid assets Sources wholesale market liabilities, including 11AM cash, negotiable certificates of deposit and term deposits Retail term deposit interest rate negotiations Manages and maintains Treasury’s financial models, databases, procedures and spread sheets, including gap reporting, historical interest rates and procedures. Contributes to the ALCo and Management/Board reporting process as required Undertakes other Treasury related tasks and reporting functions as required Candidate Profile We are keen to speak with candidates that have several years financial markets treasury dealing experience in cash, discount securities, fixed income and swaps. In addition to excellent communication skills you will have demonstrated experience in the following: Finance, Economics or related tertiary qualifications are essential. Post graduate qualifications with a financial content will be highly regarded Australian Financial Markets Association (AFMA) dealer accreditation - Debt Markets pathway Experience in dealing, sales and/or distribution of treasury products and their use for funding, liquidity and hedging purposes, together with the ability to make prices in these instruments About us: Teachers Mutual Bank Limited is one of the largest mutual banks in Australia.
