Motorama is seeking an experienced Accountant to oversee the financial and administrative areas of multiple business entities. This role supports Dealership Management by enabling them to make better business decisions through providing accurate financial advice, reviewing trends within the business and keeping abreast of change within the industry.

About the role:
- A hands on, fast paced leadership role within our broader Shared Services team, reporting to our Financial Controller
- Oversee and manage the financial wellbeing of specific Dealerships
- Maintain an accurate set of accounts which will facilitate the timely production of trading results
- General Ledger reconciliations
- Prepare financial reports for both internal and external stakeholders, provide analysis to stakeholders
- Monitor all costs and payments, report on anomalies
- Be part of the team that reviews and improves processes and manages change throughout our business
- Ensure that dealings with internal and external customers are conducted in a professional and ethical manner
- Assist with the preparation of statutory returns
- Plan, direct, monitor and control the activities of the Department
- Recruit, manage and train an efficient administration staff with assistance of the Financial Controller
Is this you?
- Tertiary qualified Accountant; professional qualifications desirable
- Experience in a dealership accounting is desirable but not essential
- Good knowledge in the areas of tax, cash flow, cost accounting and financial accounting
- Advanced capability using MS Excel
- Experience with, or ability to quickly learn, Pentana ERP system
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience and enjoyment of accounting reconciliations
- Commitment to ongoing study to update skills and knowledge
