Reporting to the Financial Controller we have a newly created position for a Dealership Accountant to join the busy team based in Taringa, Brisbane QLD.
Responsibilities:
- Monthly reconciliation of all general ledger accounts
- Preparation of month-end accounts including posting journals and reviewing accruals
- Assist in the preparation of financial year end and preparing all relevant supporting documentation for the auditors and any other ad-hoc year end requirements
- Ensure compliance with the dealership’s obligations to the relevant OEM brand, Autosports Group head office and authorities
- Preparation and review of annual budgets
- Any other ad-hoc duties
To be Successful you will:
- Previous Motor Dealer experience
- Pentana Era experience preferred but not essential
- Relevant accountancy qualification
- The Ability to prioritise your workload
- Advanced computer skills with MS Excel, Office, accounting software and databases
- Ability to manipulate large amounts of data and to compile detailed reports
- Work with key stakeholders to improve business results
- High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills
- A strong work ethic and ability to work as part of a team
- Excellent communication Skills
