Hays have partnered with a leading tertiary institution in Queensland to appoint a Delivery Lead to an initial contract through to April 2025. Your new role
As the Delivery Lead, you will play a pivotal role in driving the successful delivery of projects within a key program running at the university. Overseeing the end-to-end Agile delivery process, you'll ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and budget, and collaborate across cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors. Your days will be varied, but some of your main duties will involve:
- Using Agile Methodologies, developing plans, milestones, and resource allocations, and coordinating project activities, tasks, and dependencies across teams/departments
- Identifying and engaging stakeholders throughout the project/s lifecycle to gather requirements, provide updates, and foster positive relationships to ensure alignment
- Identifying and developing mitigation plans for any risks that may impact delivery, adjusting plans as needed to maintain momentum
- Monitoring resource utilisation and capacity to identify bottlenecks/resource constraints, as well as tracking expenses and ensuring compliance with financial management procedures
- Offering leadership and guidance to teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment
You'll be a successful and experienced Project Manager, with proven experience delivering Agile projects on time and within budget. You'll be proficient in project management tools/software, such as Jira and Confluence, and you'll bring with you a natural leadership capability that allows you to easily inspire and motivate teams to achieve goals. Your communication and interpersonal skills will be second to none, feeding into your exceptional stakeholder engagement skills and experience.
