The Opportunity
The Demand Planner role is an is an exciting role, working with the Sales and Marketing teams to generate demand forecasts for the business.
This role is responsible for analysing demand, preparing forecasts, utilising statistical forecasts in conjunction, with promotional and product life cycle activity, to provide robust demand volumes (cases) to operations and finance whilst ensuring clear communication and strong relationships with key demand forecast stakeholders are developed and maintained.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop a demand forecast for review by Sales and Marketing, using statistical forecasting tool and TPM feed, for at least a rolling 18 month period at appropriate level for short, medium and long term horizons
- Provide reports to assist Sales and Marketing in reviewing the demand forecast
- Chair Channel Review Meetings
- Ensure communication of operational and supply issues to sales and marketing teams
- Work with Sales and Category to develop and load NPD forecasts and understand assumptions.
What’s in your toolkit?
- Demand Planning experience within an FMCG environment
- Exposure to SAP (APO) and/or Promax desirable, but not essential
- Relationship building skills
- Strong attention to detail
