Dental Assistant Position Description

Exciting and varied role for a motivated dental receptionist/assistant. Join our happy practice and be valued as a pivotal member.

Right now we are looking for a dental assistant to join our up market practice, in general dentistry, orthodontics and implant.

Experience is not a must, but previous work experience in any customer service role is preferable. You will be a people person who is compassionate and confident with an ability to make people comfortable.

Another desirable attribute is the willingness to learn new skills via online seminars, face to face training courses.

This role is diverse; it will involve all aspects of reception, assisting the dental practitioner, hands on laboratory work and the coordination of our elite clients treatment regime. The role will require you to be involved in all aspects of the surgery and would suit someone with ambition to one day be a practice manager.

This role requires one to work Monday to Friday 9am-5pm

• Willing to learn using dental software 
• Enthusiastic about dental and quality customer service and ability to speak English well.
• Ability and desire for leadership and willingness to learn dental practice protocol

Your duties will include but not be limited to:

• Assisting the dentist when including surgical procedures
• Sterilisation and instrument processing
• Meet and great patients
• Answer telephone, Facebook, Instagram and email enquiries
• Book appointments
• Manage recalls of patients
• Laboratory work including processing of dental crowns and clear aligners

Front desk responsibilities include:

• Guide patients through the course of their treatment
• Organise patient financing
• Billing
• Explaining patients aftercare

You will be the first point of contact and the face of our company and we will thus appreciate and support the right person. Position is for a start in mid-April to first May.
