1SBT (School-based Trainee)
Want to start your career while still at school?
Join the team at Go Dental as a school-based trainee. Full training and support provided.
As a school-based trainee you’ll complete 100 days of work over two years and complete a certificate III in dental assisting at the same time.

Essential:
 Demonstrated Literacy and Numeracy skills
 Computer skills- Microsoft Office Suite, email
 Money handling skills
 Well presented
 Good physical health
 Confident and reassuring attitude
 Strong interpersonal skills
 Documented vaccine history, including up-to-date Covid-19 booster(s)
 Must be able to take instruction
 Comfortable in a hospital/clinical setting
 Be willing to undertake further study if required
 Maintain confidentiality

Desirable:
 First Aid certificate

The daily duties of this role include (but are not limited to):
 open and close the building
 adhere to all safety protocols and deliver infection control protocols to the highest standard
 ensure the cleanliness of the surgery meets the highest standards
 chairside assisting the dentist including set up, instrument choice and aspiration.
 monitor patients from entry, during and after treatment
 reception duties including accounts handling, making bookings in person and over the phone
 carry out stock control
 greet patients and check them in
 liaise with laboratories and referral hospitals/practices
