Working alongside a team of exceptional governance and legal professionals, your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the Company Secretary in managing Board processes and compliance/regulatory obligations.
- Providing expert advice on complex and strategic legal and governance matters.
- Proactively and autonomously managing subsidiary company secretarial compliance obligations.
- Providing legal and governance education across the business on relevant topics.
- Advising on and supporting corporate governance practice improvements.
- Managing external legal services to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
Our clients requirements include:
- 4-6 years of post-qualification experience, ideally within an in-house setting or a top-tier private practice.
- Exposure to governance and compliance within a corporate setting.
- A bachelor of Laws and a current Australian practising certificate or eligibility to obtain one.
- Strong understanding of the Corporations Act, ASX Listing Rules, and related governance practices.
- Demonstrable commercial acumen and strong negotiation skills.
- The ability to demystify complex legal concepts and engage with a diverse range of non-legal stakeholders.
