Deputy Director

The Police Association of Tasmania (PAT) represents the professional and industrial interests of police officers in Tasmania. The Deputy Director position identifies opportunities to proactively advance the agenda of the PAT and develop strategies to achieve its objectives. The Deputy Director provides specialised advice on issues including industrial relations, regulatory matters, legislation, health and safety, formulation of strategic direction and delivery of outcomes. The position is a full-time contract position for two years with the potential for permanency after that time. The position is based in Hobart and the salary range is $115,000-$125,000 plus other entitlements. The position enjoys the flexibility with working hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant, free on site parking at New Town, a motor vehicle is supplied with the position and it attracts TOIL hours.

Applicants with a legal or policing background are highly encouraged to apply. Be prepared to undertake in-person panel interviews with the selection committee in the last week of January 2024.

The successful applicant will be required to submit a National Police Check and sign a confidentiality agreement.
