Deputy Director Of Surgery

The role:

• To provide assistance to the Director of Surgery in providing effective and efficient surgical services to the Launceston General Hospital, including financial responsibility and maintenance of teaching and research.
• Deputise for the Director of Surgery in his/her absence.

Details of Appointment
Fixed Term, part time, day worker position working 16 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible for a three year period
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant

Salary:
Visiting Medical Practitioners
Visiting Medical Practitioners Level 1- Visiting Medical Specialists Level 4 $254,149 - $445,341 per annum, pro rata + 11% superannuation + access to salary packaging

• Salary range is in accordance with Tasmanian Visiting Medical Practitioners (Public Sector) Agreement 2019

Eligibility:
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:
Specialist or limited registration with the Medical Board of Australia in a relevant specialty.
*Registration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of these may be checked at any time during employment. It is the employee's responsibility to ensure that registration/licences remain current and to advise the Employer if their circumstances change. This includes notifying the Employer if a registration/licence is revoked, cancelled or has its conditions altered.
Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable: * Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons or fellowship with Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists.
