The Women’s Safety, and Victims and Community Support division is one of seven divisions in the Department of Justice and Attorney-General. This is an exciting new role and we are seeking interest from exceptional candidates to join the Department as Deputy Director-General (DDG) to strategically lead delivery of key women’s safety initiatives and services, victims support services and Community justice services including:
- Women’s Safety and Violence Prevention
- Victims Assist Queensland
- Community Justice Services, including Dispute Resolution, Justices of the Peace, Body Corporate and Community Management, and the Registry of Births Deaths and Marriages.
- Investment and Commissioning, and grant program management.
DJAG is seeking a leader with proven experience at the executive level in leading strategic program design, reform implementation and service delivery outcomes at scale. Exceptional capability to develop strategic partnerships, collaborate broadly with stakeholders including not-for-profit organisations, corporate organisations, local government agencies, and Community groups is imperative.
To be successful you will be an engaging and inspiring people leader with strong strategic and financial acumen, deep sectoral knowledge, and experience in working with First Nations community leaders, local councils, government agencies and stakeholders.
You will be passionate about effecting change and achieving good outcomes for all Queenslanders.
