The Role
Joint Capabilities Group (JCG) Headquarters is looking for an individual with a background and/or previous experience in workforce strategy, planning, management and/or design to join the JCG Workforce and Culture Team.
The role will work closely with the Director JCG Workforce & Culture to develop and implement a workforce strategy and associated workforce plans (both strategic and operational in nature) that will be used to prioritise and drive workforce and cultural reform across the Group. The role has a strong liaison and coordination focus and requires someone who is adept at establishing relationships and building networks.
In addition, this position will work closely with JCG Commands, Divisions and Elements to drive and implement workforce initiatives and plans.
About our Team
Headquarters Joint Capability Group (JCG) provides high level support to the three star Group Head, the Chief of Joint Capabilities (CJC), by directing and coordinating Group operations across a range of functions. Headquarters JCG works closely with the Divisions and Commands within JCG and also the other Groups within Defence to contribute to JCG and Defence wide outcomes.
The JCG Workforce and Strategy Deputy Director will work as an integral part of the Workforce and Culture team within Headquarters JCG. This position will work closely with the Workforce Officers across the Group.
Our Ideal Candidate
Our ideal candidate is someone who has a background and/or previous experience in workforce strategy, planning, management and/or design.
The role will require you to work closely with the Director JCG Workforce & Culture to develop and implement a workforce strategy and associated workforce plans (both strategic and operational in nature) that will be used to prioritise and drive workforce and cultural reform across the Group.
You will need to be able to work cohesively and collaboratively within a small team. Building and maintaining strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders is key to this role.
Our ideal candidate must be highly organised, have the ability to manage competing priorities and possess strong verbal and written communication skills. This role will require the ability to work independently, and have strong liaison skills to work effectively across JCG’s Commands, Divisions & Elements and other Groups across Defence.
