The Role
Military Strategic Commitments (MSC) Division is seeking a professional with a policy background to support our mission. MSC welcomes applications from highly motivated individuals to fill a role in providing critical inputs to Defence activities through strategic policy advice, planning guidance, management of ADF commitments and reputation, and leading Defence input into the National Crisis Management Framework.
The position will provide governance capability, stability and continuity within the Domestic/Regional Directorate through retention of corporate knowledge during High Risk Weather Season each year, and in support of Major Events and High Profile Public Events. The role will also assist with Branch security requirements. The right candidate for this role will thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment where they can work independently to help deliver key national Defence objectives.
To be successful in these roles you are outcome-focused with a high level of attention to detail and be able to engage constructively and provide assistance to a range of critical stakeholders; including Senior Defence Staff and Executives. Demonstrated experience with managing competing priorities and exceptional time management skills, along with an understanding of the Defence Strategic Review and the Defence Assistance to the Civil Community policy are a must.
