About the position:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated leader to join our Junior School Leadership Team. The Deputy Head of Junior School - Learning & Teaching provides support and leadership in the ongoing development of the curriculum and the pedagogical practice of teaching staff. The position is actively involved in supporting teachers with their planning, modelling teaching and providing guidance on assessment and reporting requirements associated with the Australian Curriculum. The role also involves the analysis of student assessment data using this to inform strategic planning and Teaching practice.
This role also includes a 0.4 teaching load that will be determined by the Deputy Headmaster - Head of Junior School.
This is a 5-year tenured Junior School leadership position, with a guaranteed permanent teaching position at the contract conclusion. This role is to commence at the beginning of the 2025 School Year.

As the successful applicant you will have:
- Relevant tertiary qualification.
- South Australian WWCC, South Australian Teachers Registration,
- Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect – Education and Care – Education and Care (RRHAN-EC) – Fundamentals & Masterclass certificates.
- Demonstrated high level of competency in teaching practice.
- Experience in a similar leadership role within a Junior School.
- Experience and understanding of the educational needs of students in the Junior School and knowledge of suitable methodologies required to differentiate or diverse needs.
- A sound knowledge of current primary educational theory and curriculum.
