St John's Grammar School is an E – 12 Co-educational, Independent, Anglican School and is located in the hills at Belair, South Australia. St John's is structured into four sub-schools: The Early Learning Centre (3 and 4 Year Old Programs), Junior School (R-6), Middle School (Year 7-9) and Senior School (Year 10 – 12).

About the role
As the Deputy Head of Junior School, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational journey of our students. You will work closely with the Head of Junior School to lead and support a team of talented educators, ensuring the delivery of a high-impact curriculum and fostering a positive and inclusive school culture.
This role also includes a 0.4 teaching load that will be determined by the Head of Junior School.
The commencement of this role will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
Qualifications and Experience
- A relevant tertiary qualification and extensive experience in primary education.
- South Australian WWCC, South Australian Teachers Registration.
- Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect – Education and Care – Education and Care (RRHAN-EC) – Fundamentals & Masterclass certificates.
- Experience in a leadership role within a Junior School.
- Strong understanding of contemporary educational practices and child development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to fostering a positive school culture and community.
