Design Development Coordinator

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Design Development Coordinator to join the Capella Capital team to lead the Frankston Hospital Redevelopment Project. This is a 2-year fixed-term contract based at Frankston Hospital.

In this pivotal role, you will work with the Exemplar Health (EH) team to ensure the Design Development process is delivered in accordance with the Design Development Plan and the program. This will involve working with our project parties to ensure Exemplar Health (EH) achieves their contractual milestones and requirements. The role will report directly to the CEO of Project Co and as a key member of the Project Co team, liaise closely with the D&C Contractor, FM Services Contractors, State and Peninsula Health (PH).

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Coordination of the packages submitted to the state and coordinating responses, comments, and close-out of issues associated with the design promptly.
• Manage project Co's relationship with the state and peninsula health on design issues.
• Undertake other duties as required by the CEO to facilitate project delivery.
• Participation in the completion process with the D&C Contractor liaising with the State and Operator to review the construction and facilitate user feedback on the built form.
• Provide advice on construction and identification of defects.
• Prepare and present reports for Project Control Groups, Design Leadership Meetings, meetings, Quarterly Project Reviews
• Embrace teamwork collaborating with colleagues while concurrently being independently self-directed to achieve required outcomes within project timelines.
• Build and maintain strong interpersonal relationships with team and stakeholders.

To be successful in this role you will bring:

• Tertiary qualification in health-related field, or design/architecture field.
• Experience in clinical design and workflows.
• Project management experience (design and/or construction).
• Experience in delivering a PPP project is highly desirable.
• Meeting tight project timelines of project operations and ability to deliver.
• Previous experience in management of multi-disciplinary teams is highly desirable.
• Leadership, problem solving, organisational planning skills.
• Ability to adjust to new situations, able to help others accept and adapt to change.
