Design Manager - Mid Level

As a Mid-Level Design Manager, you will play a pivotal role in our dynamic team, reporting directly to a Senior Design Manager. You will oversee the design process for our prestigious large-scale commercial projects, ensuring the highest standards of quality, innovation, and efficiency are met. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will contribute your expertise to deliver projects that exceed client expectations and set new industry benchmarks.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the end-to-end design process, from conceptualization to execution, for large-scale commercial projects.
• Collaborate closely with the Senior Design Manager, project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment of design objectives with project goals.
• Provide leadership and guidance to a team consisting of a graduate designer and a Design Coordinator, fostering their professional development and ensuring project success.
• Review and approve design deliverables to ensure compliance with regulatory standards, client requirements, and company policies.
• Drive innovation and excellence in design, exploring new technologies and methodologies to enhance project outcomes.
• Proactively identify and address design challenges, seeking opportunities for optimization and value engineering.
• Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment, promoting open communication and teamwork across the design team and project stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, or a related field; additional certifications or qualifications are a plus.
• Proven experience in design management for large-scale commercial projects, preferably within the construction industry.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and develop junior team members.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in design software and tools, such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
