About the role

 

The Commercial Property team has a new opportunity for an experienced Design Manager(AS7) to play a key role in driving the design management process, from conception through to completion, and managing works (project delivery). 

 

 

This is a permanent, fulltime position, based in Brisbane CBD with a base salary of $150,088 plus 12.75% superannuation and hybrid work options to support the balance between work and personal commitments.

 

 

 

About the team
 

The Commercial Property team aims to deliver strategic outcomes for our commercial property portfolio to bring the best social and economic value for our stakeholders and community. We play a key role in the development of commercial opportunities from this portfolio, unlocking incremental revenue streams for both strategic property decisions as well as leading major precinct transactions.

About You:

 

  • Minimum a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as architectural, construction management, or a related area is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to write comprehensive design briefs, scope of works, functional design reports etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate and manage the production of technical drawings and plans, and to ensure that design work is completed on time and within budget.
  • Proven experience in understanding design development and construction principles in particular the technical aspects of construction projects, including safety in design, accessibility standards, cost management and procurement processes, resolving RFI’s etc.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders, internal and external, and ensure the quality and consistency of design work.
  • Excellent document management skills along with ability to organise documents, keep track of changes and revisions, and consistency in recording communication and meetings.
  • Great ethics and attitude towards working in a team. Being open, fostering collaboration and supporting a positive work environment is highly valued.
