Safety Manager

The Role
This is a role where you will be required out on site and also in office. You will be working on live projects across the greater Brisbane area. You will be liaising with the Project Managers, Site Leadership, various subcontractors, and reporting directly into the General Manager, Construction Manager and the Director. 

Responsibilities

• Assist project teams and management to properly implement Safety and Environment procedures and documentation.
• Provide training, coaching and guidance around best practice, legislation, procedures and systems compliance.
• Assist with project planning to identify and mitigate any Safety or Environment risks.
• Ensure the Safety and Environment Management Plans are being implemented and complied with.
• Participate in audits, both internally and externally to ensure consistent compliance and understanding of our management system. 
• Conduct detailed incident / accident investigations and reports.
• Actively participate in the national Safety and Environment committee, and continually review and seek to improve the Safety and Environment system.

The Person

• 7+ years' Safety experience
• Experience working on industrial/commercial build sites $100m+ in value
• Cert IV or Diploma in WHS
• High level of verbal & written communication
• Ability and willingness to start immediately
