Our client an international engineering, design and advisory organisation is looking for a Desktop Support Engineer with experience in Level 2 Mobility support.
About the role
As a Desktop Support Analyst, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clients' IT systems. You will be responsible for providing both Level 1 and Level 2 technical support to end-users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and delivering outstanding customer service.
Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to user inquiries, providing technical support and assistance via phone, email, or in person.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software problems, including desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and peripherals.
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, applications, and software updates.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical issues and escalate problems when necessary.
- Set up and configure user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
- Conduct system upgrades, patch installations, and equipment installations.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of support activities, solutions, and user guides.
- Continuously update technical knowledge and stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in the field.
Requirements
- Based in Perth - client a large mining organisation.
- 8 days onsite for a 12hour shift typically 6am-6pm and 6 days offsite
- Tablet, mobility, android experience
- Operation desktop environment support
- Provision of 2nd level Desktop Support across multiple, regional mine sites
- Management of incidents and requests
- Respond and escalate to 3rd level teams where required.
- Experience in Microsoft support environment and able to work autonomously and independently.
- Excellent communication skills
