Reporting to our Purchasing and Logistics Manager, our Despatch Manager will be managing the overall day-to-day functions of our busy despatch area including:
- Supervising the handling, loading and despatch of orders within the agreed timeframe
- Assigning workload to optimize team efficiency
- Ensuring customer service is a priority and maintained at the required service levels
- Ensuring all activities uphold all Chain of Responsibility requirements
- Leading and mentoring our despatch team, providing feedback and managing performance issues, training new employees and upskilling others as required
- Championing workplace safety
We are on an ambitious growth trajectory and so our ideal candidate will have also demonstrated experience in:
- Development and implementation of distribution strategies to maximize delivery performance
- Analysis of data to drive continuous improvement strategies and initiatives to enable our projected growth targets to be achieved
Additionally our Despatch Manager must have a passion for Customer fulfillment and should be an effective communicator across diverse sectors both internally and externally. The willingness to “pick up the phone” and meet situations head-on is a pivotal attribute, as our reputation is built on customer service excellence.

- The ability to troubleshoot and expedite as the situation requires
- Strong interpersonal skills, a powerful and clear communicator who motivates and inspires others
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, and the ability to work in a high pressure, fast paced environment
- A good level of physical fitness as this role will periodically involve some manual handling of glass panels
