The Role:
The Developer (SQL, BI, & .NET) is Working under broad direction only, requirements include the analysis, design and development of consistent code, applying standard coding practices, and following direction with regard to best practice as set out by the broader team. Stringent attention to detail with regard to implementation of SQL to ensure database performance standards are met.
This role provides ongoing support as well as implementation of enhancements to Plan SA IT solutions. The Plan SA system for which this role is responsible comprises multiple sub-systems including:
- Development Application Processing System (DAP)
- Plan SA Portal
- Planning Information Exchange
- Online Planning & Design Code
- Online Consultation
- Document Management System
- Operational Data Store
- Power BI Reporting
To be successful in this position, you must be able to demonstrate experience across the following key capabilities:
- 5+ years programming experience, primarily with .NET.
- Experience in working in a diverse team of Business and Technology specialists.
- Experience in monitoring, diagnosing, and resolving issues.
- Experience with building, managing, and maintaining APIs.
- Experience with C#, HTML, JSON, MySQL, Java, Jenkins, Atlassian Bitbucket, Confluence and JIRA.
- Well-developed knowledge of cloud computing including Amazon Web Services and Azure Cloud Services.
- Well-developed, applied knowledge of System Development and support Methodologies (SDLC, Agile Development and ITIL).
- Thorough understanding and experience in implementing integration solutions along with cloud-based hosting.
- Experience in using analytics tools such as Power BI by using Power Query to shape data and writing DAX to convert raw data to meaningful insights by way of visualisations.
- Sound understanding of development best practices, including CI/CD.
Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent.
Special Conditions
Successful applicants may be required to obtain a satisfactory Department of Human Services Criminal History Check or National Police Check prior to employment. A renewal will be required every 3 years.
Remuneration:
ASO6 - $97,022 min - $102,626 max
