Due to an exciting period of growth, a number of new roles have become available in our Development Services unit to better respond to the changing needs of our community.

Provide leadership and drive performance improvements within the Development Services unit that maximises the capacity of the team to develop and achieve KPIs and be responsive to a dynamic environment in a highly effective, efficient and professional manner.
Demonstrate highly developed skills in thinking strategically, solving problems, building professional relationships, communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, and an appreciation of the political environment.
Empower your team to provide services that contribute to Council’s Community Strategic Plan (CSP) goals and in doing so, ensure the current and future needs of the community are attained and has community has confidence in Council.

Things You’ll Do:
Reporting to the Senior Manager Development Services, manage a multi-disciplinary and technical team with a focus on developing individual and team capability to support the delivery of quality outcomes in an agile and collaborative approach.
Utilise your experience in resource management to managed workloads and make budget and resourcing decisions that will enable the achievement of business unit outcomes.
Use your experience and knowledge in local planning and business acumen to identify and implement continuous improvement of business processes and practices to ensure that our services meet the needs and challenges of our evolving community.
Establish and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, winning respect at all levels through sound and expert advice, reliability and personal integrity, constructively dealing with difficult issues as they arise.
