The role
A key role within the Engineering team, the Development Engineer leads a small team to:
- provide engineering advice on Precinct Structure Plans, Subdivisional Planning Referrals and other major plans to Council staff, developers and the public
- provide engineering assessment of town planning, subdivision and building proposals for compliance with Council requirements and specifications
- undertake compliance inspections for construction works
Our ideal candidate
To be successful in this role you will have:
- qualifications in Civil Engineering, with substantial relevant experience
- experience in leading and mentoring staff
- confidence and ability to communicate with a range of stakeholders
- be a Registered Civil Engineer or able to gain registration
- the legal right to work in Australia
