Working from our architecturally designed and recognised Administration Building, we are excited to add an experienced Senior Development Planner or Development Planner, to join our highly skilled City Planning team.
About the role
As Senior Development Planner or Development Planner you will ensure the effective, timely and accurate assessment and determination of development applications.
You will provide written and verbal advice to a range of stakeholders whilst undertaking assessment of commercial, industrial, residential, and rural development proposals, including subdivisions.
The role is responsible for the proficient application of land use policy and compliance with relevant legislation and Council's local laws and policies. The role provides input and assistance to the preparation and review of development controls and policy provisions related to development assessment functions.
About You
You will possess a degree qualification in Town Planning or related discipline. You will hold contemporary industry knowledge and experience in the development assessment process and interpreting relevant legislation and policy. You will also have experience in negotiation and facilitation with stakeholders to resolve planning challenges to achieve desired outcomes.
In addition, you will have demonstrated experience in interpreting complex information and producing comprehensive reports to enhance decision making.
Benefits
This is a permanent full-time opportunity working 35 hours per week. We are offering a salary range of $99,354 - $110,283 for a Development Planner and $105,021 - $116,574 for a Senior Development Planner + 11% superannuation, commensurate to demonstrated experience. A private leaseback vehicle is available.
