We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Manager based in the Mackay and Bowen Basin Coalfields region.

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for Pre-Construction Planning, Construction Management, and Post-Contruction Management. Directly reporting to the Site Supervisor and Operations Manager meeting safety, quality, and deadline targets, this is a role that requires you to lead, motivate and mentor teams and staff to be their best and produce high quality work finishing projects on time and within budget.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Project Management
- Develop project/job schedules and execute to schedule.
- Assist in identifying & sourcing resources for current and future works.
- Manage assets, including any asset damage, pre inspections, off-hire procedure, including mob/demob management.
- Develop and implement project/job KPIs.
- Provide full support to the Site Supervisor for all works and be proactive in providing information and booking resources including forward planning.
- Ensure effective job tracking, reporting, management practices are in place, including job costing and timely reporting on variations to works where required.
Financial Management
- Assist in preparation of scope of works, quotes and estimations before each job.
- Manage and report profitability for each job.
Other
- Represent MJM Developments at relevant meetings.
- Undertake other duties as required.
Essential Selection Criteria
- Demonstrated experience in coordinating Civil Construction projects.
- Well-developed interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with a range of clients and stakeholders.
- Tertiary Project Management qualifications essential.
- Knowledge of the coal/mining industry and preferably the Bowen Basin region.
- A high level of computer literacy/competence (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to use job management data systems.
Advantageous
- Previous BMA experience in project management.
