Devops Engineer

Our rapid growth means we are currently looking for a full-time DevOps Engineer to join our office in Brisbane, Australia. The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for delivering the integration of security at every phase of the software development lifecycle, from initial design through integration, testing, deployment, software delivery, and operations.

The DevOps Engineer will contribute to the design and implementation of security hardening and remediation. Additionally, the DevOps System Engineer will provide backup for DevOps tasks covering automated builds, code scanning, deployment, monitoring, and server infrastructure. Key Responsibilities • Deliver technical solutions for improving overall quality and security of platform and product build, deployments, monitoring and alerting • Design and implement cloud-based source control, CI, builds and automated testing infrastructure security standards practices • Research new technologies that will improve security, efficiency, and effectiveness • Analyze, design, and evaluate automation scripts and systems • Automate system monitoring processes • Troubleshoot problems, maintain virtual environments, and build processes • Participate in managing cloud infrastructure and system administration, and work with teams to identify and rectify issues on an as-needed basis • Provide direct support during various operations such as deployment to production and nonproduction environments • Collaborate with developers and IT to ensure new environments meet requirements and conform to best practices • Design, implement, and test agreed-upon infrastructures Qualifications & Skills • Minimum of 3-5 years supporting products and their development by creating & managing software factory systems that cover security, DevOps and automation for local and remote teams across. • Experience with AWS (Lambda, ECS, EC2, API Gateway, RDS, Redshift, CloudFront, QuickSight, Route53, S3, CloudWatch, ElastiCache, IAM) automation/configuration management creation and management of security policies, practices, monitoring, infrastructure security testing, vulnerability assessment and threat investigation and remediation creating and continuously improving a CI/CD (continuous integration/deployment) pipeline IT systems and operation • A good understanding of open-source DevOps technologies and cloud services • A background developing software products • Experience with programming and scripting, with a preference for Python, JavaScript & bash • Experience using CloudFormation and/or Terraform for IAC • Understanding of networking and network protocols in common use • Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting complex issues and determining root causes Nice to Have • Experience with Azure Jenkins pipelines including pipeline development in groovy Ansible Docker, Kubernetes GIT Elastic Stack (ELK) Tcpdump Nginx • Experience in Value/process engineering Value stream mapping Education & Eligibility • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field with 3+ years of overall experience.
