The Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned and passionate DevOps Engineer with a strong background in Multi-Tenant B2B SaaS products. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the cloud-based infrastructure for our sustainability solutions platform.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to automate deployment and scaling, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, and monitor system performance to optimise application performance. Your expertise in cloud platforms like AWS, infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform, and CI/CD tools like GitLab CI will be key in ensuring the reliability and scalability of our platform.

You will also play a crucial role in implementing security best practices, managing and maintaining configuration management tools, and staying up-to-date with the latest developments in DevOps, cloud technologies, and sustainable practices.

Duties will include (but not be limited to)

• Design, implement, and maintain the cloud-based infrastructure for our Multi-tenant B2B SaaS platform.
• Manage and maintain configuration management tools to streamline infrastructure setup and updates.
• Architect, deploy, and manage AWS infrastructure to support our growing needs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to automate the deployment and scaling of applications.
• Build, Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitLab to automate application deployment.
• Monitor system performance, proactively identify bottlenecks, and optimize application performance.
• Implement security best practices and ensure the platform adheres to industry standards.
• Maintain and support Hashicorp Vault for secrets management.
• Create and maintain documentation related to infrastructure, deployment, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Continuously improve and optimize our DevOps processes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
• Assist in building disaster recovery and failover mechanisms to ensure high availability.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in DevOps, cloud technologies, and sustainable practices.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to design, implement, and maintain infrastructure solutions.
• Implement and maintain monitoring and alerting solutions using Grafana and Prometheus.
• Utilise Terraform to manage infrastructure projects.

Skills & Experience

• At least 3 to 5 years experience in DevOps Engineering working with a Multi-Tenant B2B SaaS Product.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role in a production environment.
• Strong expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS.
• Hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure.
• Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Pulumi.
• Proven experience with Terraform, GitLab CI/CD, Hashicorp Vault.
• Familiarity with containerisation technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, etc.
• Solid Linux fundamentals.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
• Understanding of VPN technologies, particularly OpenVPN.
• Scripting skills in languages like Python, Bash, or Go.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, agile environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
