The DevSecOps Engineer will deploy, configure, and verify applications and infrastructure across various environments (e.g., development, staging, production). The engineer will develop and implement automated deployment scripts and processes to enhance efficiency, reliability, and consistency.
The DevSecOps Engineer will be responsible for Infrastructure management, security and compliance and technical leadership and collaboration within the cross functional team. You will monitor application and infrastructure health and performance proactively to identify and address potential issues before they impact users.
Additionally, you will stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in DevOps and related fields and contribute to the development and documentation of technical standards and procedures. The DevSecOps Engineer will continuously evaluate and improve the DevOps process to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in the environment at Jetstar
The successful candidate will have:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
Relevant certifications in DevOps, Cloud Computing, or Infrastructure automation (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect) considered a plus.
2-3 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or a related role (e.g., Systems Administrator, Cloud Engineer).
Demonstrated experience with implementing and operating CI/CD pipelines and workflows.
Proven track record of successful projects applying IaC principles for infrastructure management.
Strong hands-on experience with AWS services for deployment, configuration, and management.
Solid understanding of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes for application packaging and deployment.
Expertise in operating systems administration (Linux preferred) with scripting proficiency for automation.
Experience with configuration management tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Chef for automated infrastructure provisioning.
Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or Ruby for task automation.
Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog for
Excellent communication and collaboration skills for effective interaction with cross-functional teams.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills for troubleshooting complex technical issues.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Passion for continuous learning and staying updated with the latest technologies and trends in DevOps.
