There is an opportunity for a qualified Dietitian to join the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District Nutrition & Dietetics Department. We have availabilities in two temporary part time positions (that may be combined to become full time) based at Bulli and Coledale hospital from the end of March until January 2025 with possibility of extension at the same or reduced hours. We are looking for a motivated level ½ dietitian with an interest in age care dietetics who is committed to providing high quality dietetic care and who demonstrates contribution to a positive team environment. An eligibility list will be created and used to offer additional Temporary Full time and Part time contracts for positions across the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District.
We are seeking Dietitians with an interest in Clinical Dietetics, who demonstrate a willingness to learn and work as part of a team and who will contribute to a positive culture within the Department. Level ½ Dietitians work across various hospitals, settings (inpatients and/or outpatients) and patient cohorts within the ISLHD and may be required to work across different sites in the Illawarra and Shoalhaven region. Recent post graduate Dietitian experience in the clinical setting is desirable.
What you'll be doing
The position provides a dietetics service to patients/client/consumers across the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District.The position will provide high quality inpatient and/or outpatient nutritional care and counselling for referred patients/clients/consumers and act as a consultant for health professionals in the area of nutrition.The position may be required to work a 7 day rotating roster and rotate between sites within the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District as required.

Selection Criteria:
- Eligible for full membership of the Dietitians Association of Australia.
- Broad range of recent inpatient and outpatient clinical experience.
- Demonstrated commitment to the provision of high quality dietetic services including individual and group consults.
- Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work productively in a team environment.
- Demonstrated understanding of and experience in quality improvement and service evaluation processes.
- Current NSW (or equivalent) Class C drivers licence.
