Rosebank College has a proud and varied history of over 150 years as part of the Good Samaritan family established in 1857, and belonging to the Benedictine spiritual and educational tradition founded by St Benedict in the 4th century. About the Role

A school of Good Samaritan Education, Rosebank College seeks expressions of interest for the position of Digital and Creative Officer to join the Communications and Engagement Team in this permanent (full-time) position.

Commencing as soon as possible and reporting to the Communications and Engagement Manager, the role of the Digital and Communications Officer is to assist with facilitating a dynamic, contemporary communications program within and beyond the College. The position is responsible for supporting the promotion of the Rosebank Brand, including photography, videography, and design (both print and digital) of all internal and external communications.

The objectives of this role include and are not limited to:

  • Work on a wide range of projects and media, using various software programs to visualise and develop innovative imagery and graphic designs that meet College goals
  • Obtain input from leaders to ensure that designs meet Rosebank College standards and brand expectations, express ideas accurately, and represent the College appropriately
  • Work independently as well as cooperatively with the Communications and Engagement team to meet deadlines, stay within budget, and schedule project implementation based on workload, which may include five or more simultaneous projects
  • Examine existing processes, identify flaws, and create solutions that improve design capabilities
  • Update and maintain databases for designs, photography, and video

The Digital and Communications Officer works closely with the Communications and Engagement Team and Manager in translating strategies into College-wide campaigns to support the strategic plan, mission, vision, and values, along with College growth and improvement.

About You

The successful candidate will be a highly capable support staff member highly motivated to support Rosebank College. It is an expectation that all staff support the vision and goals of the College as a learning community and contribute to all aspects of College life.

To be considered for this position, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working as a photographer, videographer, and/or graphic designer (Digital and print)
  • Proven proficiency with photography, videography, and Adobe Creative Cloud applications, especially InDesign, Photoshop, and Premier Pro
  • High level of computer literacy and demonstrated skills in web-based software (e.g. WordPress or Strapi), Social media management (e.g. social media and content scheduling platforms), Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel and Word mail merges), and database management
  • The ability to work with a high level of accuracy, efficiency, appropriate time management and superior attention to detail
  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic with a professional, flexible, and adaptable approach to a varied and competing workload
  • High level of interpersonal and communication skills in dealing with management, colleagues, and external stakeholders
  • Proven ability to exercise initiative, work autonomously, be organised, flexible, and prioritise workload individually and as a member of a team within a highly interactive and complex environment
  • Possess a valid Working with Children Check (or be willing to obtain one)
  • A commitment to the child safeguarding principles
