You will be a part of the Digital Experience team, reporting to the Head of Digital Experience.The responsibilities of the Digital Content Lead are focused around maintaining the customer-facing website and digital channels, driving content strategy and design in support of our digital roadmap, and supporting City of Boroondara’s digital transformation program, Transforming Boroondara.You will lead a team of content design professionals whose role is to make it as easy as possible for the residents of the City of Boroondara to find information, access services, and transact with the council.About the roleThis is a senior role within the Digital Experience team. You will use your extensive knowledge and experience in Digital Content strategy, content design, and team process and operations to maintain and optimise best-in-class websites and digital experiences, and lead and develop a high-performing content team.Responsibilities include:managing the business-as-usual publishing queue, team priorities, and workflowediting and publishing a range of content types for websites and digital servicesdefining connected customer content journeys across platformsscoping, approach, and content resource allocation for digital roadmap initiatives and transformation projectsdeveloping new processes and improving existing processes to improve efficiencies, productivity, and quality of Digital Contentimproving the digital user experience through alignment with usability, reading, and accessibility standardsleveraging analytics, customer data, and user research to inform decision makingAbout youYour customer-centric approach will ensure that content is consistently and thoughtfully developed to meet customer needs, expectations, and create a seamless and empowering customer experience.You have a strong understanding of WCAG accessibility standards, plain language, SEO principles and methods, web analytics, and writing for digital. You have practical experience with HTML, as well as working with a range of content management systems (CMS). Drupal experience is desirable, although not essential.You are known for your ability to build honest and productive stakeholder relationships and have experience contributing to the production and publishing of content for complex, large scale websites, and across multiple digital platforms and channels.This is a fantastic role to showcase your existing knowledge, experience and enthusiasm, and develop your skills further.
