Job description

The Role                

We have big plans at the Austin Group and we’re on the hunt for a driven Digital Marketing Managerto join our team!

Based in our brand-new office in Malvern East, this exciting position is responsible for the development and hands-on implementation of Digital Marketing strategies in line with the wider marketing strategies for the Austin Group brands. You will be accountable for driving relevant traffic, sales, brand awareness and customer engagement through insight-led and cost-effective Digital Marketing activities.

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Develop and implement integrated Digital Marketing strategies and roadmaps across all Digital Marketing channels for each managed brand
  • Undertake continuous analysis of customer data, insights, mass segment performance, competitive digital environment and use an insight-led approach to shape the Digital Marketing roadmaps
  • Liaise closely with each brands marketing team, CRM, and eCommerce teams to develop content calendars and creative to supports effective SEO and Digital Marketing performance
  • Develop and execute paid social media strategies through Facebook Business Manager to drive cost effective sales, social audience growth and customer engagement across all social platforms, with the ultimate objective of building brand awareness and growing market share
  • Use your commercial acumen to build business cases and Digital Marketing campaigns that drive the right customer behaviours and outcomes
  • Work hands-on in the set-up and daily management of Google Performance Max campaigns, ensuring objectives, conversion goals, creative/terms, and budgets are continually optimized 
  • Manage affiliate opportunities directly with publishers utilizing independent platform (i.e. Impact), ensuring objectives and placements are on-brand and commercial agreements 
  • Where applicable, accountable for digital agency relationships ensuring performance activity is executed as per the agreed strategy, budgets, and timeline
  • Collaborate with the creative and marketing teams to ensure the marketing messages and content used in all Digital Marketing campaigns are aligned with the respective brands guidelines and tone of voices 
  • Collaborate with the brand marketing teams on the development of organic social media strategies and consult on best practice activity and community management
  • Continually test and learn from Digital Marketing campaigns to ensure you are maximizing awareness and conversion
  • Develop and manage closed loop reporting process across all digital channels to measure and monitor Digital Marketing activity effectiveness and ROI against business goals and using insights to improve future activity
  • As the subject matter expert, seek and provide recommendations on Digital Marketing best practice and enhancement opportunities that drive business growth and sales

You will have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, or relevant tertiary qualification
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a hands-on Digital Marketing role, preferably in a retail or agency environment
  • Ideally worked for an ecommerce brand or a brand with a digital focus
  • Digital marketing technology experience, including a high degree of understanding of SEO, CRM and Social Media platforms
  • Understanding of HTML (preferable)
  • High understanding of web analytics using Google Analytics or similar
  • Competencies in MS Office, particularly in Excel for deep diving into data if required
  • Excellent understanding of all facets of Digital Marketing
  • Ability to work well under pressure and be flexible
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Confidence with and the aptitude to learn new technology
  • High levels of autonomy with the ability to work collaboratively within a team
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, influencing, change management and people skills
  • A detailed and focused approach to work and willingness to learn
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with external partners including agencies and developers
