Digital Ohs Hazard & Incident Management System Advisor

Fixed term – Part-time role until 30/06/2025Are you looking to work on a new and exciting project and be part of a positive and dynamic team? An exciting opportunity exists to apply for an ongoing role as VPS5 Digital OHS hazard and Incident Management System Advisor in the Employee Safety Wellbeing and Inclusion Division.This role will contribute to the establishment of 50 government-owned and operated, Early Learning and Childcare Centres. These centres will offer childcare, three and four-Year-Old Kindergarten and, where applicable, Pre-Prep. The first four will open in 2025, with all 50 opening by 2032. These Early Learning and Childcare Centres will have a positive impact on local children and their community.This role will report to and work closely with the Manager, working in a project team responsible for establishing and monitoring the project, developing, and implementing health safety and wellbeing policies and promoting collaboration and engagement with other teams in the Division, other Divisions and external stakeholders.In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Assist with and facilitate the rollout of DE's current digital OHS hazard and Incident Management System to Early Learning and Childcare Centres (ELCCs)
• Identify digital system improvement opportunities
• Provide technical expertise to support system enhancements where required
• Facilitate digital system and change management training sessions
• Build positive stakeholder relationships, strategic thinking and skilled problem-solving

The successful candidate will possess a thorough understanding of the department's incident and hazard Management System, a strategic mindset capable of aligning digital initiatives with broader goals and objectives, and demonstrate a capacity for innovation and adaptability. Building strong relationships with stakeholders across departments and organizational levels is critical for driving digital transformation. The candidate's effective communication skills and commitment to continuous learning and development will play a critical role in conveying technical concepts in a clear and accessible manner.Applicants will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of OHS policies and procedures for ELCC initially, eventually transitioning to operational tasks once systems are established and tested.Qualifications:

• Desirable: Tertiary qualification in Occupational Health & Safety and relevant experience; proficiency in the delivery and implementation of digital systems within the workplace
