About the role:
The goal of the Digital Product Development team is to enhance sales and service adoption by identifying valuable opportunities within the digital platform. The Digital Product Owner will be tasked with overseeing customer experience across our primary digital channels, involving the development of strategies, driving major initiatives, and achieving targets.
As the bridge between business and technology teams, this role requires fostering relationships, effective communication, and influential skills. Embracing an agile approach, the role addresses issues impacting customer experience and product objectives swiftly.
What you’ll be doing:
Define and align vision and roadmap with customer needs and business goals.
Analyse competitors and customer behaviour for improvement insights.
Explore new digital capabilities to enhance customer experience.
Collaborate with UX teams for feature design and testing.
Lead shaping process, manage risks and dependencies.
Ensure initiatives support business objectives with scrum teams.
Define user stories and prioritize backlog based on feasibility.
Track and report success metrics for new features.
Stay updated on industry trends to enhance Product Ownership capability.
About you:
Previous demonstrated experience in Digital Product Ownership.
Extensive experience working in an agile digital environment.
Commercial thinking – ability to assess value and make product decisions that maximise the return on investment.
Ability to communicate a product vision to key stakeholders and teams.
Solid understanding of using digital analytics to understand customer behaviour and make data driven decisions to increase customer engagement and digital usage.
A working knowledge of the Utilities industry and energy markets would be advantageous but is not essential.
