  • Impactful Work: Directly contribute to enhancing the learning experience of K-12 students.
  • Collaborative Team: Join a supportive team dedicated to educational excellence and innovation.
  • Part-time role: May suit a designer who wishes to have the time to embark on their own projects or undertake freelance work.

The Role

As the Digital and Web Designer you will play a pivotal role in shaping the digital face of our College. This position is not just about maintaining websites; it is about creating engaging, intuitive, and effective online environments that resonate with students, parents and staff. You will be the architect of our digital platforms, ensuring they are not only aesthetically pleasing but also functional and user-friendly. Your work will directly impact the way our students learn and how our school community interacts, making it a highly rewarding and fulfilling role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and manage the College’s online services and products.
  • Enhance the design of our online learning platforms.
  • Create compelling digital content and maintain brand consistency.
  • Collaborate with staff to align digital strategies with educational goals.
  • Lead digital projects, ensuring timely and successful delivery.

About You

As a Digital and Web Designer at our College, you will bring a unique combination of creative flair and technical skill, underpinned by a passion for education. Your expertise, grounded in a degree in Web Design, Digital Media, or a related field, is complemented by experience in crafting engaging digital platforms, particularly in an educational context. Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and CMS platforms (currently Finalsite, Webflow, Elcom and Canvas) and skilled in graphic design with tools like Adobe Creative Suite, you are adept at creating functional and visually appealing online environments for a diverse College community.

In this role, you will do more than just design; you will be integral in shaping our students' educational experiences through digital innovation. Your ability to communicate effectively, manage projects, and focus on user-centric design will be key. Your work will have a tangible impact on how our students learn and how our community engages with technology. We are looking for someone who sees this not just as a job, but as a mission to contribute meaningfully to educational technology and be part of a team that values innovation and creativity.

  • Degree in Web Design, Digital Media, or related field.
  • Experience in web design and management, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and CMS platforms.
  • Strong graphic design skills (Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Strong understanding of UX/UI principles.
