AddressMedowie Community Preschool is looking for a contract Diploma Qualified, Early Childhood Educator with extensive experience working with children with additional needs .
We are offering a family friendly opportunity to the right person, to commence immediately. The position will be five days per fortnight Thursday, Friday and alternate Wednesdays from 8:30 am to 3:15 pm .

About our Preschool:
Our Preschool is located on Worimi Country in Port Stephens, NSW. The preschool was established in 1984 and has since built long lasting relationships with children, families and the local community within Medowie. Our service operates from 8:30am till 3:00pm where children attend five days per fortnight. We also follow NSW school terms.
Selection criteria:
- Diploma in Children's Services
- Working With Children's check
- Current First Aid and Anaphylaxis training
- Child Protection - CHCPRT001 or CHCPRT025
- Two professional referees
Experience:
- Demonstrated understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Framework.
- Experience planning for and working with children with additional needs.
- Documenting children's learning by following the planning cycle using Storypark.
- Implement effective behaviour management techniques and strategies which are consistent with the centre's policies.
- Ability to work effectively as a team member.
- Experience with establishing relationships with parents, carers and children.

- The children have expressed that they would like someone who is kind, fun and enjoys interacting with them.
Salary is above the Children's Services Award.
