Direct Marketing Lead - Fundraising

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced fundraiser with direct mail experience to support a tax appeal for an incredible humanitarian charity.

As the Direct Marketing Lead, you will be responsible for project managing the upcoming tax appeal, optimising the direct mail program and maximising gifts through DM and other channels for both regular giving and single-giving donors.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of the Tax Appeal campaign by fulfilment of regular flyers, emails and supporting communications to donors.
• Manage relationships with external suppliers such as agencies and print houses, as well as various internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate campaigns across various donor segments by writing briefs, managing data selections, set-up, test and schedule and report on performance
• Consider the donors experience across all channels and strive to improve all aspects of the donor experience by using best fundraising practice
• Track, measure and report on the results improvements to monitor impact on donor retention

Skills and Attributes

• Prior experience working in a non-profit fundraising environment is essential 
• Knowledge and/or experience of Direct Marketing programs and techniques
• Understanding of the donor/customer journey
• Exceptional written communication skills
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask across a number of projects and priorities
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills

This is a contract role, starting immediately and expected to last until at least July.  It could be made permanent for the right person.  The role is ideally full time but they could be open to 4 days a week. Whilst ideally based in Sydney with hybrid working, they can be open to 100% WFH options, which opens this up to remote working across Australia.
