Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a Director, Future Students to join the Engagement Portfolio, Chancellery Division.

The Director, Future Students is responsible for providing leadership in the development and implementation of a future student engagement strategy for the University. This includes matters relating to prospective international students and identifying opportunities to foster educational equity for under-represented cohorts. The position will require the brokering of partnerships across QUT and externally, which will be achieved through strong working relationships with senior leaders of the University, faculties, divisions and other stakeholders.

What you need to succeed

  1. Education, training and/or experience equivalent to postgraduate qualifications in an education or social justice area together with experience in strategic leadership of equity or engagement preferably relevant to the Higher Education sector.
  2. Demonstrated success in driving and leading a high-performance service culture in delivering quality outcomes for student engagement.
  3. Record of achievement in the effective and efficient management of human, financial and technological resources within a large and complex organisation.
  4. Proven ability to communicate effectively and build strategic collaborative partnerships across organisational areas to deliver high-quality coordinated services.
  5. Demonstrated ability to understand and analyse complex issues, related to educational equity, and lead relevant policy and strategic responses for university consideration.
  6. Demonstrated ability to work in partnership with senior managers within and external to an organisation, on social justice matters, providing advice, and developing strategies.
  7. Knowledge of policy, legislation, and current issues related to education and social justice in higher education.
